Our Leadership
Our leadership is made up of a member-run board responsible for governing and providing oversight for the organization’s affairs. We also have an executive team of men and women who give oversight and direction to each department and ministry. The government of this church, under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, is vested in the Local Board of Administration, whose authority is derived from our body of believers. Only members of our organization who are of high character and integrity, who maintain an excellent reputation, and who demonstrate leadership in our ministry may be elected as board members. Each person in his or her particular role is committed to the Vision, Mission, and Values of our organization. In short, when you find your spiritual home with us, you’re finding a community for you to trust, learn from, and participate in!
Meet The Team
Dennis Harmeson
Lead Pastor
Pastor Dennis is an ordained minister in the Wesleyan Church and a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University. He holds an A.S. in Christian Ministries, B.S. in Biblical Studies, a Masters of Divinity from Wesley Seminary, and is a certified coach in the Wesleyan Coaching Network. Pastor Dennis is involved in the community and is the President of the Zephyrhills / Wesley Chapel Ministerial Association. His desire is to see families changed through the transforming love of Jesus Christ. Dennis is married to Rebecca since October of 2000, and they have three children. Dennis is an avid sports fan (Braves, Falcons, and Seminoles), and enjoys spending time with family and friends in his free time.
Rebecca Harmeson
Assistant Pastor
Pastor Rebecca is an ordained minister in the Wesleyan Church and a graduate of Asbury University where she earned a B.S. in Leadership and Ministry. She earned an M.A. in Ministry from Wesley Seminary with a focus in Children, Youth and Family. Rebecca is active in the community and is a regular volunteer at WZES. Her passion is helping children, teens and parents discover that they are uniquely made and greatly loved by Jesus! She leads the Youth and Children’s Ministry at Awake. Rebecca has been married to Dennis since October of 2000 and they have three children. Rebecca enjoys hanging out with her family, coffee, and spending time with friends.
Jennifer Bennett
Assistant Pastor
Pastor Jennifer is an ordained minister with the Wesleyan Church and a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University. She holds on to the belief that God’s love as manifested through Jesus Christ can and does change lives when we surrender every part of our life to Him. Her ministry focus is adult ministries with an emphasis on discipleship and leadership. Jennifer has been married to Art Bennett since 1998 and has four grown children who live in New England. She enjoys spending time with her husband and friends and watching NFL football, especially the Green Bay Packers.
Dr. Scott Frisbie
Assistant Pastor
Dr. Scott W. Frisbie has been an ordained minister in the Wesleyan Church since 2004. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry from Ohio Christian University, a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary. Pastor Scott has over 23 years of ministry experience and is passionate about Discipleship, Education, Youth, and Evangelism. He has been happily married to Tammi since 1994, and they have two children. Pastor Scott loves The Trinity, his family, the Church, riding horses, and PS4 gaming. He excitedly and energetically serves the Church community as he continually seeks God’s direction.
